At Edge High School, we are busily preparing to welcome our students back safely for the 2021-2022 school year. We love what we do and we are laser focused on helping every student feel comfortable, supported and healthy — this school year.

We are privileged to purposefully support every unique Edge student — to recognize and validate every individual variation in experiences and strengths.  We’re also here to help you be you as we enable your dreams, together.

We’ve been in this alternative high school graduation game for 25 years.

We are once again prepping our toolbox of learning supports and expertise;  as we do so we are reminded of all the ways we curate support and scaffold for our free public high school learners. Students just like you, utilize our proven, compassionate and comprehensive foundations to create education goals. Diploma here you come!

Two things we know for sure.

We know how to help you to feel safe and to feel known as you return to, finally find your rhythm with, or crush high school. Our whole student approach to learning is as critical as ever for every Edge learner (and invested educator) to succeed. We are ALL IN! For you.

Starting over does exist.

A few pieces of practical advice we suggest as you get ready to return to school.

  1. Write things down or use some kind of calendar. Keep a list of assignments on your phone and put important dates on your phone’s calendar. Text yourself your homework.
  2. Don’t wait until the last minute to start your work, to study or to prepare for the next day. Minimize stress by tackling things a little bit every day. Even 30 minutes a day adds up!
  3. Create a routine. Eat a little snack, give yourself 30 minutes to do whatever you want, and then hit the books for 30 minutes to an hour. That way, you’ll always be on top of things!
  4. Join Edge or come back to us with a positive learning attitude.  You may have encountered problems before, but this is a great opportunity to start over. You don’t have to love high school, you simply need to graduate.
  5. Stay connected to your people. Embrace your family — your biological, situational and/ or chosen family. We hope to become part of that last group — your chosen family. Know who the support people are in your life and choose your new friends wisely.  Remember every Edge staffer has your back — in everything. We are proud to share this time with you.
  6. If you have room for activities — let’s talk about it. What do you want to do here?  Talk to us!

You won’t believe what we can make happen, together.

High school graduation is THE stepping stone to your next chapter.  College, military service, a satisfying career, financial solvency. Whatever you aim to do next, we are here for it.  If you or anyone you know wants to graduate on time, or regroup on credits missed – we are ready to help. Our toolbox is yours.
